Our commitment

One single bark, rigorously selected

One single ingredient, a short supply chain, handcrafted know-how. Here is what we stand for, and what we don't claim to be.

Our Commitment

One Single Ingredient

Poutoulou Ankoro contains only one thing: an African bark from Ankoro, dried and ground. No additives, no preservatives, no coloring, no fragrance. What you apply is the bark just as it is harvested, nothing more.

A Carefully Selected Bark, Prepared by Hand

Each batch comes from the village of Ankoro, in the Katanga region of DR Congo. The bark is harvested by hand, with respect for the resource, then slowly sun-dried and ground using know-how passed down from generation to generation. This artisanal preparation is what sets a genuine Ankoro powder apart from an imitation.

A Short, Traceable Supply Chain

Harvest in the village of Ankoro → sun-drying → hand-grinding → packaging → shipping. No unnecessary middlemen: we know where the bark comes from and how it was prepared. This traceability is what guarantees the authenticity of what you receive.

Recognizing a Genuine Powder

A genuine Ankoro powder is beige to beige-brown in color, with a light woody, earthy scent and a fine, slightly grainy texture. A powder that is too white or, on the contrary, very dark, odorless or artificially scented should raise suspicion. To learn more, see our guide: recognizing a genuine Poutoulou Ankoro and avoiding imitations.

What We Do Not Claim to Be

Poutoulou Ankoro is a traditional preparation for external use, not a medicine. We do not invent certifications, labels or studies we do not have. We prefer a simple promise, kept: a pure bark, a known origin, careful preparation.
