What is Poutoulou Ankoro?
An African bark powder, sun-dried and ground by hand in the village of Ankoro, in the Katanga region, DRC. Used for generations to naturally last longer. External use only.
Is it a medicine?
No. It is a 100% natural plant-based product, with no additives, no preservatives and no chemical processing. One single ingredient: the dried, ground bark.
What is the difference between "Poutoulou" and "Ankoro"?
"Ankoro" refers to the geographic origin, "Poutoulou" is the common name in the diaspora. They refer to the same product.
Usage
How do I use it?
A small pinch of powder + a few drops of warm water (or honey) to form a paste. Apply to the glans and frenulum. Cover. Leave on for 1.5 to 2 hours in total (tingling around 30 minutes, then 1 to 1.5 hours more). Rinse thoroughly before sex. Full details on the How to Use page.
Can it be used with a condom?
Yes, for sex: put it on after rinsing. If you used a condom to hold the paste in place during the application time, throw it away when you rinse and use a new one.
How often can I use it?
You can use it as often as you like, with no frequency limit: daily or occasionally.
The Effects
I feel a tingling sensation, is that normal?
Yes. It is a sign that the tannins are penetrating the skin and starting to work. The sensation remains bearable. If it becomes painful, rinse and reduce the dose.
No effect on the first try?
This is common. Slightly increase the dose and extend the application time toward 2 hours on your second try.
How long do the effects last?
Active for the whole duration of sex once it has started. Plan a fresh application for each session.
Safety
Are there any side effects?
No adverse effects are expected with proper external use; if irritation occurs, rinse and stop using it. Do not use if you have a known allergy to barks or plant powders. Consult a doctor if you are being treated for a prostate or urological condition.
Is Poutoulou dangerous for the prostate?
